The Dudley Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Northeast Guilford 76-36 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Dudley has managed all season.
Dudley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cortney "CJ" Jones, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Jerron Blackwell, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Dudley's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Northeast Guilford, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dudley will take on Rockingham County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northeast Guilford, they will head out on the road to face off against Atkins at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
