Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Tocoi Creek

While Tocoi Creek put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Orange Park. The Toros were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Raiders. The Toros might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by eight runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Ryleigh Williams's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kaycee Huff was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Mauldin, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Tocoi Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory was the third in a row for Tocoi Creek, bringing their record up to 14-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Orange Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Tocoi Creek nor Orange Park have any future games scheduled.
