The Eagle Valley Devils lost against the Delta Panthers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Eagle Valley fell 35-24 to Delta. Eagle Valley has not had much luck with Delta recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Eagle Valley still got an impressive performance from Josie Fitzsimmons, who scored 13 points along with six steals. That was a full 54.2% of Eagle Valley's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
It was another big night for Kylie Huff, who scored 11 points along with four steals for Delta. Huff is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.
Eagle Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Delta, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-4.
Eagle Valley will head out on the road to face off against Durango at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Delta won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Steamboat Springs at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully Steamboat Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Friday.
