The Huskies pushed the score to 32-12 by the end of the third, a deficit the Pilgrims had little chance of recovering from.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Moises Montes and Payton Travis. Montes had a great game and rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Meanwhile, Travis was balling out in the loss, rushing for 114 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Marsing was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 252 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Plymouth only rushed for 155.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nampa Christian). They blew past Parma 83-0 at home on Friday. With that victory, the Trojans brought their scoring average up to 26.8 points per game.
Matthew Nevarez was his usual excellent self, rushing for 142 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Nampa Christian is 2-1 when Nevarez posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Johnson, who gained 102 total yards and three touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Nampa Christian's defense and their three sacks. Kaiser Henne was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself.
The win made it two in a row for Marsing and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Nampa Christian, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Friday's game might be decided in the on the ground. Marsing has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 232.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Nampa Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 155.8. It's looking like Friday's contest might have some serious battles in the trenches.
Marsing ended up a good deal behind Nampa Christian in their previous meeting back in September of 2023, losing 24-8. Thankfully for Marsing, Aiden Thompson (who rushed for 106 yards on only 11 carries, and also threw for 130 yards and a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
