Boyd Anderson has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Northeast Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Boyd Anderson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Boyd Anderson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-52 to Stranahan. While losing is never fun, Boyd Anderson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Stranahan is ranked 38th).
The losing side was boosted by Niteno Pierre, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Theodore Richardson III, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Northeast strolled past Stoneman Douglas with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 62-47.
Boyd Anderson now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Northeast, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6.
Boyd Anderson strolled past Northeast in their previous meeting back in December of 2021 by a score of 78-60. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Northeast's Allen Omana, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds.
