They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Liberty Hawks. Winning may never get old, but the Fighting Knights sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Lola Jones spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Sophia Shelton was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Hillsdale's record is now 20-9-1. As for Liberty, they moved to 23-9 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.
