There's no place like home for The Williams Yellowjackets, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Trinity with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 52-36. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Alejandro Hernandez had a dynamite game for Williams, rushing for 248 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Hernandez was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards. Ian Rosales was another key contributor, rushing for 65 yards and a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Trinity still got an impressive performance from Ty Moodie, who rushed for 328 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per carry.
Williams' victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Trinity, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Williams will take on Hamilton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Williams likes a good challenge. As for Trinity, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Willows at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Willows is ranked 915th, while Trinity is ranked 911th).
