The Fowler Grizzlies scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Holly 67-13 at home. Considering Fowler has won four contests by more than 22 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Leading Fowler to victory were Randi Maestas and Andrea Maestas. Maestas scored 16 points along with seven steals, while Maestas scored 13 points along with seven steals. The match was Maestas' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaslyn Bates, who scored ten points along with four steals.
When it comes to explaining why Holly lost, one person who can't be blamed is Josie Kissell. Despite the final result, she scored four points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. Those four blocks set a new season-high mark for her.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Holly struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Fowler racked up 19 assists.
Fowler now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Holly, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 4-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fowler will take on Hoehne at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Holly, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Granada at 12:00 p.m.
