Beaufort Academy's Reyn Robinson rumbled for the longest rushing play in SCISA 8-Man Region I (8 Man) this season in his game against Coastal Christian Prep last week. Robinson's team beat Coastal Christian Prep as he sprinted for 95 yards on the play and finished with 316 in all.
J.W. Myers' team lost to Brock Vaigneur's team 64-20 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Beaufort Academy's dynamic duo of Clay Melville and Christopher Boggs proved tough for Coastal Christian Prep to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Melville threw for 23 yards and 1 touchdown and Boggs had 10 yards receiving. Tucker Trask helped Beaufort Academy's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 13 yards.
Joseph Wilson was a passing and rushing force as Henry Academy beat Cathedral Academy.
Wilson was a force in the backfield as the Patriots defeated the Generals.
James Island Christian's Josh Black and Jonathan Hickman have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Black has thrown for 698 yards this season, while Hickman has 13 catches for 439 yards. Beaufort Academy's Robinson leads the league in rushing yards with 1,569.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between Beaufort Academy and St. John's Christian Academy. Beaufort Academy enters the game ranked 14th in the state, while the Cavaliers ranks 18th.
Charleston Collegiate's Manny Smalls is a mere 23 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 88 carries Smalls has accumulated 977 yard this year.
The league will see a high scoring game when Charleston Collegiate and Mike McCoy's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Archie horne's team comes in having scored 314 this season, while the Patriots have scored 246. Charleston Collegiate scored 48 points last week as it topped First Baptist School.
Henry Academy led SCISA 8-Man Region I (8 Man) in scoring this week by notching 66 points on Cathedral Academy. Wilson ran for 355 yards in the win.
