If the TMI-Episcopal Panthers were feeling good off their 47-18 takedown of the Sunnybrook Christian Lions last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. TMI-Episcopal took a 43-27 bruising from Providence Catholic on Tuesday. TMI-Episcopal lost against Providence Catholic in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 60-23 score last time.
Providence Catholic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kalysta Martin out in front who scored 22 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Martin has scored at least 25% of Providence Catholic's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Otero, who scored 15 points.
TMI-Episcopal's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.0 points per game. As for Providence Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. TMI-Episcopal will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Luling at 5:00 p.m. on December 19th. Providence Catholic will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fox Tech at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th.
