Yuma won the last time they faced Wray and Brody Sheffield did his part to make sure it happened again. The Outlaws walked away with a 54-47 win over the Eagles on Friday thanks in part to Sheffield, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine boards. The matchup was his eighth in a row with at least 16 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Pensado, who posted three points and five rebounds. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

Wray lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Bryson Lewis, who scored five points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Brodie Riggelman, who went 5-for-9 en route to 10 points.

Yuma has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Yuma didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-62 defeat against The Vanguard School on the 6th. As for Wray, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-34 victory against Merino on the 6th.
