Santana gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. Everything went their way against the San Dieguito Academy Mustangs as the Santana Sultans made off with a 10-3 victory. Ashlyn Darrow made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she gave up only one walk, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Emma Schneider was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Alyssa Cipro was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
