In what's become a running theme this season, the Litchfield Purple Panthers gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Gillespie with a sharp 61-40 win. 61 seems to be a good number for Litchfield as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Litchfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tate Dobrinich, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Aj Odle, who scored 14 points.
Litchfield is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season. As for Gillespie, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-21.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Litchfield will face off against Staunton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Litchfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Tuesday. As for Gillespie, they will head out on the road to square off against Pana at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gillespie is facing Pana at the right time seeing as Pana is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
