North Summit waltzed into their matchup  on Saturday with 20 straight wins... but they left with 21. Everything went their way against the Farmington Phoenix as they made off with  a  3-0 victory.
 Ellie Stephens paced North Summit's offense, picking up 13 kills. Stephens got some help from  Kate Smith and her 28 assists.  Quinci Vernon and  Olivia Richins kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.
 Despite the  loss, Farmington saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Kole Riebe  had 17  digs. Riebe is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had ten or more in each of the last 15 games she's  played.
North Summit's win bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Farmington, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record  this season.
 After both having extra time off, North Summit and Rich will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Farmington, they have already played their next contest,  a  3-0  defeat against Syracuse on the 14th.
