Meanwhile, Washington came tearing into Saturday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cobblers.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-18, 25-8.
Washington's win came from a few key players Aberdeen Central will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Hannah Nesdahl, who had 21 digs and five aces. She has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last six times she's played. Ivy Freesemann was another key player, getting 13 digs and two assists.
Washington was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are 12-1 when they serve at least ten aces.
Washington's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Aberdeen Central, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.
Everything went Aberdeen Central's way against Washington in their previous matchup back in September, as Aberdeen Central made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
