There's no place like home for Ballard, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They never let the Christian Academy-Louisville Centurions get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Tuesday. That looming 13-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bruins yet this season.

Ryleah Lawrence made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI.

In other pitching news, Nora Givan looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

Back at the plate, Jaedyn Lyons and Lucy Strobel did most of the damage at the plate: Lyons scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Strobel scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Payton Downey also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Ballard kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Ballard has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Christian Academy-Louisville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Ballard wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-4 defeat against Lafayette on the 26th. As for Christian Academy-Louisville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-1 loss against South Oldham on the 27th.
