There's no place like home for Cyril, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Wetumka Chieftains 54-28 on Thursday. Considering the Pirates have won six matchups by more than 25 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Despite the loss, Wetumka still got an impressive performance from Dwayne Lowe, who rushed for 200 yards and three scores, and also threw for 34 yards and one TD. Lowe's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 103 rushing yards. Nick Taylor also helped out with an impressive 97 receiving yards.
Cyril pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.5 points over those games. As for Wetumka, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.
