Cyril's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 54-28 margin over the Wetumka Chieftains. Considering the Pirates have won six matchups by more than 25 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cyril pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.5 points on average over those games. As for Wetumka, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cyril is set to square off against their familiar foe Alex at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. Meanwhile, Wetumka will face off against rival Thackerville at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
