National Trail narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Twin Valley South 33-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for National Trail.
Twin Valley South's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Griffin Roell, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chandler Ulrich, who scored nine points.
National Trail's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7. As for Twin Valley South, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
National Trail will be playing in front of their home fans against Arcanum at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Arcanum focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday. As for Twin Valley South, they will head out on the road to face off against Dayton Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
