Blanchester has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the East Clinton Astros at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Blanchester will be strutting in after a victory while East Clinton will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Monday, Blanchester didn't have too much trouble with Clermont Northeastern at home as they won 55-40. That looming 55-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Blanchester yet this season.
Meanwhile, East Clinton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 42-33 to Georgetown.
Blanchester's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13. As for East Clinton, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15.
Blanchester beat East Clinton 60-52 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blanchester since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
