The Belton-Honea Path Bears had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 49-38 to Chapman on Tuesday.
Chapman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kara Twitty led the charge by scoring 21 points along with 9 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Annastyn Smith, who scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds.
Belton-Honea Path's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Chapman, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Belton-Honea Path will head out on the road to face off against West-Oak at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully West-Oak focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. As for Chapman, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Walhalla at 6:00 p.m.
