The Decatur Golden Gators will face off against the Kentlake Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Decatur's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 22-0 margin over Beamer. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Gators in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won five in a row.

Kahea Sharpe was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Sharpe was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).
In other batting news, Audrey Deviney was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two doubles. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sam Hackney, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one double.
While Kentlake didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Federal Way 16-6 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.
Kentlake got a massive performance out of Josie Pedeferri, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Pedeferri continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Hi'Ilei Gomes was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Kentlake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Decatur's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.0 runs over those games. As for Kentlake, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Everything went Decatur's way against Kentlake when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Decatur made off with a 13-4 victory. Will the Golden Gators repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
