The Bay Port Pirates are taking a road trip to square off against the Notre Dame Academy Tritons at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bay Port's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Notre Dame Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Bay Port's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past Kaukauna 1-0. The one-run effort marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
The result came thanks to Jake Olson's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Bay Port saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Beau Jensen, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. That's the most hits Jensen has posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame Academy entered their tilt with Green Bay Southwest on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Fighting Trojans 10-1. The Tritons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Christian Collins, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five runs, and two stolen bases. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Drew Siudzinski was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
Notre Dame Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Bay Port pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Notre Dame Academy, their record is now 5-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bay Port has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Notre Dame Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Bay Port skirted past Notre Dame Academy 1-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
