2A South Puget Sound recap September 10, 2013
DeJon Lynch of Sumner ran for the longest rushing play in 2A South Puget Sound this season against Auburn Mountainview last week. Lynch's team bested the Lions as he sprinted for 63 yards on the play and finished with 179 in all.
Orting was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to second in the league. The Cardinals defeated Eatonville 34-13 earlier in the week.
Orting's dynamic duo of Eddie Prong and Daniel Bessey proved to be unstoppable against the Cruisers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Prong threw for 78 yards and 2 touchdowns and Bessey had 61 yards receiving.

Prong put up the best numbers through the air as Orting defeated George Fairhart's team.
Lynch provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Sumner beat Auburn Mountainview.
Bessey was the best wideout in the league this week as the Cardinals beat the Cruisers.
Lynch was the most successful running back in 2A South Puget Sound this week. Branden Tuilaepa also contributed to the rushing game with 130 yards on the ground.
Orting's Prong and Bessey have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Prong has thrown for 78 yards this season, while Bessey has 3 catches for 61 yards. Lynch from Keith Ross' team leads the league in rushing with 179 yards.
Clover Park scaled the state rankings by moving to 135 from 173 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Warriors were able to make move up by beating Black Hills 42-35.
