The Fairmont Prep Huskies waltzed into their contest on Saturday with four straight wins but they left with five. They strolled past Pacifica Christian/Orange County with points to spare, taking the game 66-47. This was a revenge contest for Fairmont Prep, as the team was forced to settle for a 54-44 defeat when these two played two weeks ago.
Pacifica Christian/Orange County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alex Stewart, who scored 16 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Stewart, who scored 12 points.
Pacifica Christian/Orange County struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Fairmont Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Pacifica Christian/Orange County, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairmont Prep will play host again and welcome Orangewood Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Orangewood Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Pacifica Christian/Orange County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Capistrano Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. Capistrano Valley Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 406th, while Pacifica Christian/Orange County is ranked 94th).
