The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Judson in their matchups with New Braunfels: they've now lost three in a row.
Judson's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Demo Mcgarity, who rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 62 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Elijah Favela, who threw for 267 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes.
New Braunfels' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyree Johnson, who rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Leighton Adams was another key contributor, rushing for 48 yards and two touchdowns.
Judson has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for New Braunfels, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
