On Saturday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Carmel had to settle for a 36-33 loss against Crown Point. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Carmel has scored all season.
Carmel's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evan Harrell, who scored seven points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Dickerson, who scored five points along with five rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Carmel and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Crown Point, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carmel will be home for the holidays to greet Kokomo at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Crown Point will be home for the holidays to greet Munster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
