Chattahoochee strolled past North Springs with points to spare, taking the game 61-42. Given Chattahoochee's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while North Springs is ranked 259th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why North Springs lost, one person who can't be blamed is Esmer Madesko. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with six rebounds. That was a full 40.5% of North Springs' points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Robert Harris was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Chattahoochee's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for North Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chattahoochee will take on Greater Atlanta Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Greater Atlanta Christian is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road. As for North Springs, they will be playing at home against Northview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northview comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
