After two games on the road, Alameda is heading back home. They will take on the Castro Valley Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Alameda is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Castro Valley in California (Alameda is ranked 127th, while Castro Valley is ranked 412th).
Alameda suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Bishop O'Dowd 83-47. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Alameda has scored all season.
Even though Castro Valley has not done well against San Leandro recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Castro Valley took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 67-34 victory over San Leandro. That 33 points margin sets a new team best for Castro Valley this season.
Alameda's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Castro Valley, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11.
Alameda didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Castro Valley in their previous matchup on January 5th, but they still walked away with a 81-75 victory.
