This season hasn't been kind to the Sublette Larks, who are still winless after their 13th matchup. They were dealt a 55-20 loss at the hands of Southwestern Heights on Friday. Sublette has not had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Sublette struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Southwestern Heights racked up 11 assists.
Leading Southwestern Heights to victory were Maryjane Alvidrez and Layla Pearl kisner. It was the first time this season that Alvidrez pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Juanita Puentes, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Sublette's defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Southwestern Heights, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Sublette will head out on the road to face off against the Bluejays at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
