Culver Community hasn't had much luck against North Judson-San Pierre recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cavaliers will host the Bluejays at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Culver Community took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Triton 13-3. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cavaliers considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Savannah Schlemmer made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Culver Community got a massive performance out of Gracie Milam, who went 3-for-4 with six stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those six stolen bases gave Milam a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Abigayle Zehner, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Culver Community kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 7-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, North Judson-San Pierre waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Trojans as they made off with a 16-2 victory. With that win, the Bluejays brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Molly Madsen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Madsen was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
In other batting news, Catlin Hammack and Lexi Howard did most of the damage at the plate: Hammack got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Howard went 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Kenya Cooper was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Culver Community now has a winning record of 10-9. As for North Judson-San Pierre, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
