Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Point Pleasant Beach). They walked away with a 41-33 victory over the Brick Memorial Mustangs on Sunday. The win was some much needed relief for the Garnet Gulls as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Point Pleasant Beach's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Brick Memorial, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Point Pleasant Beach will take on Toms River South at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Brick Memorial, they will square off against Neptune at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Neptune is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season.
