South Delta's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Leland Cubs a 16-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The critical scores for South Delta came from Amari Dunson and Marvin Powell.

One reason for the win was South Delta's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Jakob Johnson refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Leland's side was Johnson, who picked up 1.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).

South Delta's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Leland, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, South Delta will head out to square off against O'Bannon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Greenwaves have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Leland, they will host Simmons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
