The Williams Valley Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 64-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Minersville. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Minersville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bradley Kostishak, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. The match was Kostishak's third in a row with at least ten points. Dante Carr was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with nine rebounds.
Williams Valley now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Minersville, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3.
Williams Valley will challenge Northern Lebanon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Minersville will be home for the holidays to greet Pine Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pine Grove is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
