After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Charlotte Valley, Hunter-Tannersville was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 20-9 margin over the Margaretville Central Blue Devils. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
ABIGAIL DWON made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. DWON was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
In other batting news, Hunter-Tannersville got a massive performance out of LILY CONSTABLE, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Another player making a difference was AVA BYRNE, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI.
