Harmony School of Excellence came into Friday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They strolled past Robstown with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 64-45. The victory was just what Harmony School of Excellence needed coming off of a 81-32 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Alice scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 86-40 win over Robstown at home. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Alice's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dylan Rivera led the charge by scoring 15 points along with six assists and four steals. Rivera continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Calvin Villanueva, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten assists.
Alice's lineup was just a bit different on Tuesday as Joaquin Molina got a bit more time on the court (17 vs. his season average of 5.96). Molina made the most of the opportunity, scoring seven points along with four steals. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Harmony School of Excellence's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-17. As for Alice, their win bumped their record up to 20-11.
Harmony School of Excellence was dealt a bruising 80-50 defeat at the hands of Alice in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Alice's Alejandro Asevedo, who scored 26 points along with four steals.
