The Sharyland Rattlers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They and Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest were almost perfectly matched up, but Sharyland suffered an agonizing 21-20 defeat. Sharyland was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Sharyland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Santiago Longoria. Despite the final result, he picked up 110 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Bo Krell was another key contributor, throwing for 243 yards and two touchdowns.
Sharyland has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.
Sharyland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest also has no future games currently scheduled.
