Fairfield  took care of business in their home opener  on Tuesday (and then some). They put the hurt on the Goshen RedHawks with a sharp  15-7 victory. For Fairfield, this counts as revenge for the   5-1 defeat Goshen walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in March of 2023.

 On Goshen's side, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. The team also got some help courtesy of  Braxton Cline, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 Goshen's loss  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  dating back to last season and  brought them to 0-2.

As for Goshen, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Elkhart at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
