Tokay extended their winning streak to six on Tuesday, bumping them up to 14-11. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Franklin Yellowjackets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since March 5th.
Brooklyn Schaede made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Tokay let Alyssa Galletti and Ava Pasqualicchio run wild. Galletti went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Pasqualicchio went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs Pasqualicchio has posted since back in May of 2025. Allie Castelanelli was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
As for Franklin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only two runs.
On Franklin's side, Priscilla Magallanez-Coleman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, Franklin got a big performance out of Jasmine Nieto, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliciana Young, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Tokay will challenge rival Weston Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Franklin is set to take on their familiar foe Edison at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
