Waukee was the 2-0 winner over Dowling Catholic when they last played one another back in June of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Maroons by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Waukee's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Dowling Catholic, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waukee will venture away from home to face off against Ankeny Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dowling Catholic, they will challenge Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
