It was fun while it lasted, but Black Hills's undefeated season came to an end after  five games  on Saturday. They fell  60-49 to the Onalaska Loggers. The  game marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring  contest so far this season.
Black Hills' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Kiley McMahon, who  posted 21 points in addition to six  rebounds and three  steals. McMahon is  crushing it when it comes to  steals: she's   grabbed at least two every time she's  taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Natalie Buchanan, who  had 12 points and seven  rebounds.
 Even though they lost, Black Hills  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with ten  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least nine  offensive rebounds in seven consecutive  matches  dating back to last season.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Black Hills  fell to 5-1. As for Onalaska,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 7-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Black Hills will welcome River Ridge  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Black Hills is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.2  points per game  this season. As for Onalaska, they will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mossyrock at 7:00  p.m.  on January 8, 2025.
