The Lexington Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Providence Grove by a score of 51-48.
Lexington's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tay Bostic, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Dearmon, who scored 10 points.
Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Providence Grove, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.
Lexington will head out on the road to face off against Glenn at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Providence Grove, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against East Davidson at 6:00 p.m. East Davidson and Providence Grove are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
