The Fletcher Senators will head out on the road to face off against the Tampa Bay Tech Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tampa Bay Tech took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fletcher, who comes in off a win.
Fletcher put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 22-0 margin over Atlantic Coast.
Fletcher's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Diondre Smith, who gained 85 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Tampa Bay Tech pushed their score all the way to 34 two weeks ago, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Armwood at home by a decisive 51-34 margin. Tampa Bay Tech has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Xzavier Jackson, who threw for 236 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt. Rod Gainey jr was in the mix as well, providing Tampa Bay Tech with two touchdowns.
Fletcher pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Tampa Bay Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 8-2.
Fletcher was taken down by Tampa Bay Tech 34-3 when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Thankfully for Fletcher, Xavione' Washington (who threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time.
