C2 District 7 recap December 3, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in C2 District 7 this week, Doniphan-Trumbull beat Aquinas 32-13. The win marks 13th in a row for the the Cardinals.
St. Cecilia was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after a bye. The Bluehawks came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Doniphan-Trumbull's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Riley Wiltfong threw for 59 and 2 touchdowns and Jordan Slough had 53 yards receiving. On the ground Slough contributed 158 yards.
Wiltfong put up the best numbers through the air as Brent Breckner's team defeated the Monarchs. Wiltfong's favorite target this week was Slough, who caught 3 passes for 53 yards.
Doniphan-Trumbull's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Cardinals feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Wiltfong has thrown for 1,668 yards and 20 touchdowns this season, while Slough has 23 catches for 531 yards.
Lorenzo Williams has rushed for 910 yards on 114 carries so far this year.
The Cardinals took down Aquinas 32-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. Wiltfong ran for 104 yards in the win.
