Hamilton is 3-0 against Kirby since January of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Hamilton Wildcats will be playing at home against the Kirby Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Saturday, Hamilton was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to White Station. Hamilton has struggled against White Station recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Devan McGee, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Rodney Mcneal, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Kirby's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 76-67 to Ridgeway. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Tuesday (57), Kirby still had to take the loss.
Hamilton's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-11. As for Kirby, they bumped their record down to 5-10 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Hamilton strolled past Kirby in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 89-73. Does Hamilton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kirby turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
