The Crestwood Knights had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed by Orangeburg-Wilkinson at home to the tune of 42-0. Winning may never get old, but Crestwood sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Azarian Yates was his usual excellent self, rushing for 145 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. Yates is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Crestwood also got help from Jeremie Richardson who showed off his sure hands for 114 receiving yards.
Crestwood's victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.0 points per game. As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Crestwood will face off against Beaufort at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Jadyn Andrews and Yates. Orangeburg-Wilkinson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
