Garrison Forest's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 38-15 walloping at the hands of Severn School. Garrison Forest lost against Severn School in their previous head to head back in February of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 51-36 score last time.
Severn School found their leader in underclassman AMYAH HEYLIGER, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was KATIE MENTESANA, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Garrison Forest's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1. As for Severn School, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Garrison Forest will head out on the road to face off against Gerstell Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Gerstell Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Wednesday. As for Severn School, they will be playing at home against Bryn Mawr at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Bryn Mawr is ranked 111th, while Severn School is ranked 124th).
