The Warner Eagles posted their biggest victory yet this season on Thursday. They breezed by Webster at home to the tune of 67-29. Given Warner's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while Webster is ranked 388th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why Webster lost, one person who can't be blamed is Amondre Davis. Despite the final result, he scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Webster struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Warner's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Webster, their defeat was their 18th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-12.
Warner won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Westville at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Webster does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
