Volleyball Recap: Buna Extends Winning Streak to Three

Buna entered their tilt with Warren on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Warriors. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Buna had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-11, 15-13.

Raylee Harding paced Buna's offense, picking up seven kills. Harding got some help from Alyssa Stanley and her nine assists. Harding was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Buna's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Warren, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buna will challenge West Hardin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Warren, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Deweyville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
