The Gunderson Grizzlies will be playing in front of their home fans against the James Lick Comets at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Last Friday, while Gunderson put up plenty of  runs, the same  can't be said for Evergreen Valley. Gunderson blew past Evergreen Valley 21-0. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Gunderson.
  Alanna Martinez Poklong made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Martinez Poklong has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts every time she's  pitched this season. Martinez Poklong was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances.
 In other batting news, Gunderson got a  massive  performance out of  Breanna Bartek, who  went 3-for-4 with five  RBI, three  runs,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Desirae Regalado, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, James Lick scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by  a  24-15 margin over Yerba Buena.
 Gunderson's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for James Lick, they now  have a winning record of 6-5.
 Gunderson took their  victory against James Lick  when the teams last played  back in March by a conclusive  23-10. Will Gunderson repeat their success,  or does  James Lick have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
